Hi,

Could you provide details as to what one user license covers?

Is this a lifetime license with Visual Web Ripper? Or is it per version only? (v 1x. then pay again for v2x.)?

How much does it cost for extra site licenses for a small buisness?

We may upgrade/repair/migrate our buisness and production machines every year, will your licensing provide continuity [or cover] these sorts of changes in hardware?

Is there any sort of a long term guarantee that you won't suddenly stop developing the software in the near future? (I ask because I do not know how many developers you have or what the size of your company is?)

Are there any feature roadmaps or directions with which you are planning to take with the development of this software in the future? (planned additional features etc.)

Note: I ask this because I noticed that previous projects may not work between versions without redoing them from scratch. So I'd like to know how often backwards compatibility might break between your milestones of software and feature set developments.

I hope you don't mind these comprehensive questions. It is just that I would like to know the details as software licensing is always an expensive proposition for small businesses like ours. I always like to make wise decisions with software that assists us in making wiser decisions.

Yes the user license is a lifetime license. it covers all upgrades. If you buy more than one license I can give you a discount. If you go to this page and scroll to the bottom you will see the different deals for 10 and 20 license packages. If you want something in between that you can contact us at 508 998 5500 http://visualwebripper.c...EnterpriseLicenses.aspx

If you upgrade/migrate/repair your systems you can use your old license key and replace it with a new one here. http://visualwebripper.c...etNewActivationKey.aspx you put in your old one and it will give you a new key and you can reinstall the new key on your new or upgraded system.

Yes our company is here for good we are the leader in this field. We are not an overnight company we are here for the longterm.

Our software is upgraded almost daily, as the web changes we change we advance our software daily. The future upgrades will work with older versions. It will give you an option when u open up to upgrade your projects and software automatically.

I do not mind at all. Iam happy to answer any more questions that i can. You can call me at 508-998-5500 or contact me when you are ready to purchase and we can speak further about the multi license discounts at sales@venturaproducts.com
If you need any help feel free to message me. I can build projects for you. I can also train you. I can also run your projects on my server if you need.

Hi ProScraper,

I assume you are speaking on behalf of Sequentum? If so you should probably have your account re-labeled as such as it looks like you are a regular user. (Thanks for the links and info by the way!)

I noticed that on the second link it refers to a limited number of re-issues for a license key. How many times is the limit? How sensitive is the licensing terms to hardware or software changes?

--I don't intend to change operating systems any times soon; But swapping out hard-drives and upgrading memories might be cyclical within a normal year of buisness activity.

--I use incremental backup technologies from http://www.rollbacksoftware.com/ (RollBack Rx)

Will this upset the licensing software checks built into Visual Web Ripper if I do a rollback?

Proscaper is an authorized Visual Web Ripper reseller. We have been working with him on different web scraping projects for some time now, and he is qualified to answer your questions. He's not a permanent employee of Sequentum.

You only need to re-issue your activation key if you reinstall Windows. You will have no problems re-issuing your key as long as you are not using the re-issue functionality to effectively use the same license on two computers.

Also, I don't think you'll have any issues with licensing if you do a rollback. In any event you can re-issue the key if you have any problems.

Hi, I was about to put my order through when I noticed a contradiction on the above linked page.

It states:

"One year free product maintenance

When you buy Visual Web Ripper you get 1 year free upgrades and limited support.

Important: Web scrapping can be a very difficult task for some web sites. Visual Web Ripper can extract data from nearly all web sites because it is an advanced piece of software, but the learning curve can be steep if you have no web scrapping experience. Free support is limited to bug reports and product feature enquiries. We do NOT teach you web scrapping techniques, and we do NOT assist you creating or maintaining projects on an ongoing basis, but we will help you get started. If you require additional services please visit Product Services.
"

Which is where I got confused...?

Am I buying a lifetime license for your software (v1.x, v2.x, v3.x etc) or just one years worth of upgrades from the date of purchase?

I apologise for the confusion. Proscaper was wrong in regards to a life long license. The license as such is life long, but the license does NOT include life long maintenance, so you would not get free upgrades after one year.

Thanks for your reply.

How much is it for each additional year?

One year maintenance is half the price of the license at the time of renewal.

Please send your new key and your original key to support@sequentum.com, so we can investigate.
